Govt Orders Transfer and Posting of 160 DSPs, IPS Officers
In a recent administrative move, the Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has ordered the transfer and posting of several Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen law enforcement across the region. This decision aims to streamline police operations and ensure effective law enforcement in various districts.

Additionally, three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the 2021 batch have been directed to report to the Superintendent of Police (SP) Operations, Srinagar, for further duties. To facilitate the processing of their salaries, three junior reserve posts of IPS have been attached to the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar. This arrangement will remain in effect until the government issues orders for their substantive postings.

Furthermore, DSP Zahoor Ahmad Bhat (ARP911550), who was previously transferred as DSP Traffic for Pulwama and Shopian through headquarters order no. 2436 of 2024, dated September 11, 2024, will now continue to serve in the IR-6th Battalion instead.
All the concerned officers are directed to comply with these orders and be relieved immediately.
