GMC Srinagar Announces Recruitment for Various Positions on Academic Arrangement Basis
The Government Medical College (GMC) & Associated Hospitals in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, has issued Advertisement Notice No: 01 AH of 2025, dated January 17, 2025. Applications are invited for the temporary engagement of eligible candidates under the Academic Arrangement Basis as per S.O. 364 of 2020, dated November 27, 2020.

- Available Positions: Ophthalmic Assistant/Junior Ophthalmic Assistant/Refractionist/Optometrist/Refractionist and Ophthalmic Technician.
Number of Posts: 4
Eligibility:
- Educational Qualification: 10+2 with Science or equivalent qualification, along with a diploma/degree in Ophthalmic Assistant, including Refractionist courses from recognized institutes or State Medical Faculties/J&K Paramedical Councils.
- Age: Between 18 to 63 years at the time of application submission.
- Pay Level: Rs. 25,500-81,100 (Pay Level-4).

Terms & Conditions:
- 1. The engagement will be strictly temporary under the Academic Arrangement Basis and does not grant preferential rights for permanent recruitment.
- 2. Initial engagement is for one year or until the post is filled by a competent authority, whichever is earlier.
- 3. Selected candidates must sign an agreement, committing to serve for two years. Premature termination requires a two-month notice or equivalent salary deduction.
- 4. Applicants must submit a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1,000 to the specified account.
