Getting your Driving license made is easier now: All about the new rules

Now you will not have to face much trouble or spend long waiting hours to get a driving license. Several states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand have made the process of getting a driving license easier. Learning licenses can be made in these states in a very short span of time.

In Bihar, applications for Learner’s Driving License are being taken online only. The offline system has been scrapped. In Bihar, you have to pay Rs 740 for booking the slot for learning license. As soon as soon as the slot is booked, you will get a date according to your convenience for the learning license test.

The applicant will have to go only to participate in the online examination at the transport office. In this exam, 10 questions have to be answered for which the applicant gets 10 minutes. To pass for the exam, 6 out of 10 answers must be correct. The result of this examination is also announced upfront. After the result of the learning license test, you can take the print of the certificate from anywhere. Hence there is no need to wait at the transport office because this certificate is being mailed to you.

Several states have made changes in the system of depositing fees for learning licenses. In Madhya Pradesh for example, if your license is from another city, but you have an address proof to live in the current city, then you can get a permanent license. Apart from this, states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh have decided that they will now implement changes in rules like learning license and registration of vehicles.

In view of the increasing rush of driving licenses in Delhi, four more RTOs are being considered for opening. Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that 13 RTOs are working in Delhi that are dedicated to issuing of driving license, international driving license, registration of vehicles and issuing operator’s license, etc. (Zee News)
