Freezing Temperatures Grip Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Regions

Kashmir witnessed a significant dip in temperatures today, with several areas recording sub-zero conditions. Srinagar registered a minimum temperature of -2.0°C, while Pahalgam and Gulmarg plunged to -9.4°C and -9.6°C, respectively. Sonamarg recorded the coldest temperature at -12.5°C. Other notable lows included Shopian and Kulgam at -4.7°C each, and Ganderbal at -3.7°C.

In Jammu, temperatures were comparatively milder but still chilly. Jammu city recorded 4.5°C, while Katra logged 6.0°C. Bhaderwah and Padder were among the coldest in the region at -3.0°C and -7.2°C, respectively. Samba recorded an unusual low of -0.3°C, and Udhampur dropped to 0.2°C.
