DSEK Proposes Phased Winter Vacation for Kashmir Schools

Srinagar: The School Education Department is expected to announce winter vacations in a phased manner for schools in Kashmir division, starting from December 09, official sources said on Tuesday.

Quoting sources, KNO reported that the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has submitted a proposal to the government, seeking approval to declare the winter vacation for primary classes from December 09 to February 24, 2025.

For secondary and senior secondary classes, DSEK has proposed starting the vacation a week later.

Meanwhile, Kashmir has been experiencing intense cold weather conditions for the past few weeks, adding urgency to the proposal. (KNO)
