Drug peddler apprehended in Awantipora, Contraband Substance Recovered

Awantipora :-Continuing its drive against the Drug menace , Awantipora Police apprehended drug peddler from Awantipora area .

During naka Checking at Kaigam Crossing,Police party of Police Post Toll Plaza under the supervision of Incharge Police Post Toll Plaza, Sub Inspector Muneer Ahmad apprehended one drug peddler,who was identified as Azad Ahmad Parray S/O Ghulam Mohd Parray R/O Katipora Chersoo

The arrested person was moving in suspicious circumstances and was apprehended by the naka party .

During his search 500 grams of grinded Cannabis like powder was recovered from his possession . He has been arrested and shifted to police station Awantipora where he remains in custody.

Case FIR No. 14/2025 under relevant section of NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
