Dr. Shamsher Singh Appointed as ADG, BSF on Deputation || Check Here

The Government of India has approved the appointment of Dr. Shamsher Singh, IPS (GJ:1991), as Additional Director General (ADG) of the Border Security Force (BSF). This deputation is at Level-15 of the pay matrix. Dr. Singh will serve until his superannuation on March 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has instructed the Gujarat Government to relieve Dr. Singh immediately so he can assume his new responsibilities at the Centre.

The notification also requests the Director General of BSF, New Delhi, to inform the ministry about the date when Dr. Singh assumes his new role. Copies of the order have been sent to various departments and senior officials, ensuring smooth implementation of this deputation.
