Death of ATM security guard in Srinagar outskirts: HDFC Bank clarifies

Srinagar, Jan 13: A security guard of a bank died in the hospital after falling unconscious at ‘Sabzi Market’ Soura here in Srinagar outskirts.

The victim has been identified as Muzaffar Ahmed Kakroo, a resident of Amdakadal.

Meanwhile, HDFC bank has refuted the claims being made by a section of media that the victim security guard was found unconscious inside the ATM booth of HDFC Bank in Soura.

An official from HDFC Bank told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the victim was guarding an ATM booth of another bank and he was found unconscious at ‘Vegetable Market’ Soura. The victim was taken to SKIMS where doctors declared him dead. He said that the victim was not associated with the HDFC Bank and both the security guards deployed at HDFC Bank’s Soura ATM are hale and hearty.

The HDFC Bank official requested the media to verify the facts before publishing any news. (KNT)
