CWG 2022: India Beat Pakistan By 8 wickets In A Crucial Group Match

India have got crucial points in Commonwealth Game 2022 as they beat Pakistan by 8 wickets with Smriti Mandhana notching up an unbeaten half-century.

Indian Women team registered an emphatic victory over arch-rivals Pakistan Women in their second Group A match to keep their medal hopes alive at the ongoing Commonwealth Games. The Women in Blue beat Pakistan by 8 wickets in a rain-curtailed match.

Earlier, India had bundled out Pakistan for 99 runs after the side’s captain Bismah Maroof won the toss and decided to bat first. Sneh Rana (2 for 15) struck twice in one over to dent the Pakistan innings, while Radha Yadav (2 for 18) also registered two wickets to her name.

On the other hand, Renuka Singh, Meghna Singh and Shafali Verma claimed a wicket each. For Pakistan, Muneeba Ali was the highest scorer with a 32-run knock off 32 balls. Notably, the match has been reduced to 18 overs a side due to rain.

India have a win and a loss in the campaign with the last group match to be played against Barbados on Wednesday.
