Covid-19 vaccine registration now open for all adults: Know Here how to register
All those above 18 years of age can register for vaccination against Covid-19 using the CoWIN platform or Aarogya Setu app. All Indian adults will be eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccine starting May 1. Users can add up to four members through one login and can easily reschedule an appointment.
Kindly note Like the first and the second phase, registration would be done through the cowin.gov.in website and also through the Aarogya Setu mobile app but there won’t be any walk-in registration in this phase.

How to Register through CoWIN portal
1. Visit the CoWIN website (https://www.cowin.gov.in/home) and click on Register/Sign in yourself.
2. Add your mobile number and click on Get OTP. After receiving the OTP, type the digits on the site, and click on ‘Verify’.
3. Enter all your details, including photo ID proof, name, gender, and year of birth on the ‘Register for Vaccination’ page. Once this is done, hit Register.
4. After you register, you will get the option to schedule an appointment. Click on ‘Schedule’ next to the name of the person registered.
5. Add your pin code and click on Search. The centres in the added pin code will appear.
6. Select the date and time and click on ‘Confirm’.

Here is how to register for Covid-19 vaccination through Aarogya Setu
- On the Aarogya Setu app homepage, go to the ‘CoWIN’ tab.
- Under the CoWIN icon, you can see four options – Vaccine Information, Vaccination, Vaccination Certificate, Vaccination Dashboard.
- Tap on the “Vaccination” tab and then select the “Register Now” option.
- Enter your mobile number and then click on “proceed to verify”.
- Enter the OTP and again select “proceed to verify”.
- Once the number verification is done, you will have to upload a photo ID card.
- You also need to fill in other details such as age, gender, year of birth.
- You can register a maximum of 4 beneficiaries through the Aarogya Setu app.
- You can also check for vaccination sites by state, district, block and pin code. The date and availability will be displayed. Select the “book” option.
- Once registered successfully, you will receive an SMS with the appointment details.
Under the third phase of the national vaccination drive, the vaccine manufacturers would supply 50 per cent of their monthly Central Drugs Laboratory (CDL) released doses to the central government. They would be free to supply the remaining 50 per cent doses to state governments and in the open market.
Earlier, The Serum Institute of India has priced Covishield vaccine at ₹400 per dose for states and ₹600 per dose for private hospitals, Bharat Biotech has decided to sell its Covaxin at ₹600 per dose to states and ₹1,200 per dose to private hospitals. The Centre, however, has asked the drug makers to lower their prices.
Even though some states/UTs have been complaining about vaccine shortage ahead of the beginning of the next vaccination from May 1, the Union governments on Tuesday said more than 1 crore doses of vaccines are available with the state/UTs governments and the government will distribute another 86 lakh doses of vaccines in the next three days.
So far, more than 20 states/UTs, including Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Odisha, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, have announced to provide free vaccines to their people. However, states like Punjab, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan have said earlier they are unlikely to start the vaccination programme from May 1.
