The government of India allowed vaccination for everyone above the age of 18 from May 1. Currently, there are two vaccines that are being administered in India – Covishield, developed by the Serum Institute of India (SII) and Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin.
COVID vaccine certificate is an official document that proves a person has been vaccinated. It is issued after the doses (first and second) of the COVID-19 vaccine is administered. The vaccine certificate has a unique 13-digit beneficiary reference ID using which you can access all the details of that particular person.
Covid-19 vaccination certificate can be downloaded both from CoWin portal as well as from the Aarogya Setu app, here’s how you can download your COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
How to download COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate via CoWIN portal
- Visit the official website of CoWIN — cowin.gov.in
- Click on ‘Register/Sign In yourself’.
- Sign in using your registered mobile number and enter the OTP received in the SMS.
- After getting the first or second dose, the CoWIN platform will show the Certificate tab under your name.
- Click on the download button to get your vaccination certificate
COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate: How to download via Aarogya Setu app
- Open the Aarogya Setu app on your phone.
- On the homescreen, click on the CoWIN tab at the top.
- Click on the Vaccination Certificate option.
- Enter your 13-digit beneficiary reference ID and click on ‘Get Certificate’ option.
- Click on the download button to get your vaccination certificate.
