Mohammad Faizan, a student of class 12 said that he lives in an area which is prone to heavy snow and snow blocks roads for days. “I live in Tangmarg, a area which receives heavy snow and due to which roads get blocked for many days. There is prediction of heavy snowfall and it will not be possible for us to reach examination centres located many kilometres far. Thus the papers scheduled between November 14 and 16 should be postponed.”
“Our papers should be postponed as Meteorological Department has already issued weather forecast and have predicted heavy snowfall,” said Aqib, who lives in Verinag area of Anantnag in South Kashmir.
Pertinently, IMD said that an active western disturbance is most likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as well as its surroundings from the evening of November 13 to 15, causing moderate to heavy snowfall and rainfall in the regions.
