Breaking: Encounter starts in north Kashmir area of Handwara forests


SRINAGAR: An encounter breaks out between militants and security forces at Wadder-bala area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Officials sources reaching here reveal that contact with hiding militants has been established after a joint team of forces including 21 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), 09 para and Jammu and Kashmir police launched a Cordon and search operation on special inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

It’s believed that around four militants are believed to be trapped under the heavy contingent of forces.

An official told the First Click that the contact has established in forest area and it’s belived that the militants might have recently infiltrated via Chowkibal area of line of control.

The exchange of gun fire according to police official is going on in the area and there are no reports of any damage from either sides. (The First Click)
