Student Scores 212 out of 200 in Maths Exam, Probe Ordered

A significant error in the primary school examination results in Gujarat’s Dahod district has sparked controversy and raised concerns about the education system’s integrity.

Vanshiben Manishbhai, a fourth-grade student, received her result sheet and was surprised to see the marks she got in two subjects. While she scored 211 out of 200 in Gujarati, her mathematics scoresheet showed 212 out of 200 marks.

It was later revealed that an error had occurred during result compilation. Subsequently, a revised result sheet was issued, correcting the scores to 191 out of 200 in Gujarati and 190 out of 200 in Mathematics, with the remaining subjects’ scores remaining unchanged.

In response, district education authorities have launched an inquiry to ascertain the root cause of the error and implement measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
