7th Pay Commission latest news: There is a good news for government employees. In March, as he is going to get Holi gifts. This will bring a big jump in his salary. More than 1 crore central employees and pensioners will get its benefit. The government can announce to increase the Dearness Allowance of Central Government employees in month of march. Dearness allowance is to be announced for January 2022. After the AICPI data released in December, it is certain that the dearness allowance will increase by 3 percent.

Salary will increase up to 90 thousand rupees

According to JCM Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra, central employees should get money in proportion to inflation. The government has not yet clarified the situation regarding the arrears. In such a situation, if 3% DA is announced, then it is definitely a matter of relief. If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 30,000 per month, then his salary will increase by Rs 900 per month. On an annual basis, his gross salary will directly increase by Rs 10,800. The salary of cabinet secretary level officers will increase by Rs 7500 per month. Meaning, the maximum salary is 2.5 lakh rupees per month, they will get the benefit of 90 thousand rupees on an annual basis.

How Much will be the DA Arrears from January to June 2020?

According to reports that the National Council of JCM’s Shiv Gopal Mishra mentioning that the DA arrear amounts of employees in Level-1 range between Rs 11,880 and Rs 37,554. For Level-13 or Level-14, this amount would range from Rs 1,44,200 to 2,18,200 respectively. If the Union Cabinet gives a green signal to it, the central employees along with over 65 lakh pensioners will further enjoy the linked benefits.

Currently, the total Dearness Allowance (DA) is 31%, with the possibility of increasing to 34%. With the government’s 3% increase, the DA will rise to 34%. Employees will be able to receive the allowance for the months of January and February, as well as arrears in their income for the month of March, beginning on January 1, 2022.

As Earlier, several arrear-related discussions were held between the National Council of JCM, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and the Finance Ministry, as per the report.

While talks have been underway, employees have been adamant on their demands. The issue may soon be brought in front of the Cabinet Secretary for discussion. However around 48 lakh central government employees and 60 lakh pensioners currently, as per the annual report of the Department of Expenditure.
