Big Blow For Team India And Mumbai Indians

In a major setback for Team India and Mumbai Indians, as star indian all-rounder and newly announced Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya might have to wait a little longer before making a comeback to the cricket field. As it was earlier predicted, Hardik was supposed to be back for the limited-overs series against Afghanistan in January next year, but that might not be possible now. As per a report in PTI, he might be gone for the entire duration of IPL 2024 as well.

Hardik Pandya sustained an injury at the ODI World Cup, and he is yet to return to action. The MI management has made him the team captain as he replaces Rohit Sharma, a five-time IPL title winner. Team India will also face Afghanistan in a three-match T20I series. Pandya is yet to return from his ankle injury.

However, a report from PTI suggests that there is a big question mark on Pandya’s availability in the IND vs AFG series as well as the IPL 2024 season.

This setback forced him to miss the T20I series against Australia and the subsequent white-ball matches in South Africa. Despite the initial optimism surrounding his recovery, recent reports suggest that Hardik might not be a match-fit for the crucial series against Afghanistan.
