Baramulla Admin Cancels License of Gul Motors Petrol Pump for Violations

Baramulla: The District Magistrate of Baramulla has issued an order to revoke the license of Gul Motors Petrol Pump, operating under the name “DC Point Petrol Pump” in Warpora, Sopore. This decision follows multiple complaints and reports indicating the station’s non-compliance with legal and procedural standards.

According to government order, the license initially granted to Mohammad Ashraf Khan, son of Ghulam Din Khan from Chinkipora, Tehsil Dangerpora, Baramulla, for storing up to 25,000 liters of petroleum, has been rescinded. Reports from the Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Tehsildar Dangerpora, Assistant Controller of Legal Metrology, and Deputy Director of Fire and Emergency Services highlighted serious irregularities in the pump’s operations.

Effective immediately, the petrol pump will be sealed and closed to ensure compliance with the order. This move underscores the district administration’s commitment to upholding legal standards and addressing public grievances.
