Bank Holidays in January 2024: The services at private as well as public banks will remain closed on certain days in January 2024, according to the details shared by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). During the month of January, banks are scheduled to remain closed for a total of 16 days due to both national and regional holidays.

These holidays include festivals, national holidays, second and fourth Saturdays, and all Sundays.

The holidays vary for each region and are meant for region-specific festivals, in addition to general weekend holidays, which are common for all banks across the country.
Bank Holidays January 2024 – Full State-Wise List
- January 1 : New Year’s Day – Mizoram, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland and Meghalaya
- January 2 : New Year Celebration – Mizoram
- January 7 : Sunday
- January 11 : Missionary Day – Mizoram
- January 13 : Second Saturday
- January 14 : Sunday
- January 15 : Uttarayana Punyakala/Makara Sankranti Festival/Maghe Sankranti/Pongal/Magh Bihu – Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Assam, Hyderabad – Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad – Telangana.
- January 16 : Thiruvalluvar Day – Tamil Nadu
- January 17 : Uzhavar Thirunal/Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Birthday – Chandigarh and Tamil Nadu
- January 21 : Sunday
- January 22 : Imoinu Iratpa – Manipur
- January 23 : Gaan-Ngai – Manipur
- January 25 : Thai Poosam/Birthday of Md. Hazarat Ali – Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh
- January 26 : Republic Day
- January 27 : Fourth Saturday
- January 28 : Sunday
