The seventh edition of the ICC T20 World Cup (previously known as the ICC World Twenty20) is just over a month away. Slated to be played in the UAE and Oman, the world event will be played between October 17 – November 14.
Total of 45 matches to be played across two rounds and four venues namely Al Amerat, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.
Round 1 will be played between eight teams who have been divided into two groups. Top two teams from both the groups will enter Group 1 and Group 2 of Super 12 (Round 2) according to their position on the points table.
Round 1
Group A: Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands, Namibia.
Group B: Bangladesh, Scotland, Papua New Guinea, Oman.
Super 12 Cricket (Round 2)
Group 1: England, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, A1 and B2.
Group 2: India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, A2 and B1.
