Despite multiple deadline extensions, many consumers have not linked their Aadhaar or completed their e-KYC. Authorities have made it clear—this is the final deadline, and there will be no further extensions. Starting April 1, 2025, names of non-compliant members will be removed from ration cards.

e-KYC Process and Options

The district has 3,443,031 consumers across 18 blocks, and as per the National Food Security Act, Aadhaar-based e-KYC is mandatory. Initially, the process was conducted through POS machines at ration shops, but due to technical issues, the government introduced facial e-KYC.

Now, ration card holders can complete their e-KYC for free at any JVP vendor’s shop using an e-POS machine. Additionally, beneficiaries can perform e-KYC from home using mobile applications like Mera e-KYC and AadhaarFaced.

Final Call to Beneficiaries

District Magistrate Rajiv Roshan has urged all ration card holders to ensure Aadhaar seeding is completed for every family member before March 31. Vinodanand Jha, president of the Fair Price Dealer Association, emphasized that consumers should not wait until the last minute and can now conveniently use the mobile app to complete their e-KYC from home.
