After Murder of SDPI Leader, Kerala BJP Leader Hacked to Death; Section 144 imposed
Two violent deaths have rocked Kerala’s Alappuzha in the last 10 hours with the killing of SDPI leader KS Shan followed by the murder of BJP leader Ranjeet Sreenivas, who was hacked to death in his house on Sunday.
Meanwhile, section 144 has been imposed in the Alappuzha district, said A Alexander, District Collector.
Ranjith Sreenivasan’s death comes a day after KS Shan, the state secretary of the Social Democratic Party of India in Kerala, was attacked by an unidentified gang in Alappuzha district.
KS Shan was on his way home when a car rammed into his bike. He sustained over 40 injuries and was admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital in Kochi. He died on Sunday morning.
Sreenivas, the 40-year-old BJP leader, was hacked to death by unidentified attackers inside his house. He was the OBC Morcha Kerala state secretary and a member of the BJP state committee.
MK Faizi, SDPI president, has alleged that KS Shan was murdered by members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
