J&K Bank, SPVLG Foundation Celebrates International Women’s Day in Collaboration with Debate and Seminar Committee, Government Degree College Larnoo under Project MAMTA

Larnoo, March 8, 2025* — SPVLG Foundation, in collaboration with the Debate and Seminar Committee of Government Degree College Larnoo, celebrated International Women’s Day under the Project MAMTA: funded by J & K Bank under its CSR initiative, at GDC Larnoo

The event was organized in addition to the prescribed activities under the project. The event featured a large gathering of students, health workers, and prominent social workers, all coming together to honor the achievements of women and discuss key issues related to women’s health, rights, and empowerment. The event was graced by Mr. Shahid, Manager of J & K Bank Larnoo, who was a special guest for the occasion.
*While speaking on the occasion, Mr Qadiri said:*
“It is an honor to be part of this important event on International Women’s Day. Empowering women is not only a moral imperative but also a key to building a brighter future for all. At J & K Bank, we believe in fostering equal opportunities for women and are proud to support initiatives like Project MAMTA, which directly impact the health and well-being of women in our community.”

The program was attended by faculty members, students, and distinguished guests who emphasized the significance of gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The Principal of GDC Larnoo, in his address, highlighted the multifaceted role of women in shaping not only families but also communities and nations. He spoke about the invaluable contributions of women in various sectors, including education, healthcare, business, and governance. He also stressed the need for equal opportunities and the importance of breaking societal barriers that hinder women’s progress.

During the event, students and faculty members also shared their thoughts and experiences on gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the challenges that women continue to face in different walks of life.
