The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an official order through the General Administration Department (GAD), allocating specific districts to the Hon’ble Ministers. This move aims to enhance governance, improve coordination, and ensure the effective implementation of developmental programs and monitoring of public services in the Union Territory.
Objective of District Allocation
The allocation seeks to streamline administrative responsibilities and ensure ministers oversee developmental projects and address district-specific challenges efficiently. Each minister has been entrusted with multiple districts to manage and support local administrations.
Allocation of Districts
1. Mr. Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister
- Allocated District: Jammu
2. Ms. Sakeena Masood (Itoo), Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare
- Allocated Districts: Poonch, Anantnag, Shopian
3. Mr. Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs
- Allocated Districts: Kupwara, Srinagar, Kathua, Samba
4. Mr. Javid Ahmad Dar, Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives, and Election
- Allocated Districts: Doda, Rajouri, Pulwama, Baramulla
5. Mr. Satish Sharma, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science & Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports, and ARI & Trainings
- Allocated Districts: Ganderbal, Budgam, Kishtwar, Ramban

Mr. Satish Sharma will also oversee: Reasi, Udhampur, Kulgam, and Bandipora
