J&K Government Assigns Additional Charges to Senior Officer In Home Department

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order regarding assignment of additional responsibilities within the Home Department. According to the recent notification, Mr. Prashant Mahajan, currently serving as the Deputy Director Prosecution in the Office of the Director General Prosecution, J&K, will also take on the role of Deputy Director Prosecution, Jammu. This additional charge is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice.

This decision was made in the interest of administration, as noted in the official order dated October 11, 2024. The reference for this assignment is based on a prior communication from the Directorate General of Prosecution dated September 19, 2024.

This move is part of ongoing administrative adjustments within the government to ensure effective governance and oversight in the prosecution department.
