Heavy rain alert: Schools to remain closed in These Jammu and Kashmir districts
All Government and Private schools Across Kupwara, Doda, Gurez, and Ramban districts of Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed on Monday due to ongoing heavy rainfall and to ensure the security of the students.
In Kupwara district, authorities have announced the suspension of class work across all schools on April 29th, 2024, following an avalanche warning issued by the JKDMA (Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority). This precautionary step aims to mitigate risks and prioritize the well-being of students amidst unpredictable weather conditions.
Similarly, in Doda district, both government and private schools will remain closed on the same day due to adverse weather conditions. This decision, made in the interest of student safety, underscores the importance of prioritizing precautionary measures during challenging weather events.
Meanwhile, in Gurez Sub Division, the impact of snowfall has prompted authorities to suspend class work in all educational institutions. This temporary closure acknowledges the disruption caused by natural phenomena and prioritizes safety above all else.
Due to weather class work in all educational institutions up to the higher secondary level falling under the jurisdiction of Sub division Kangan remain suspended 29-April 2024.
Additionally, the district of Ramban has also joined the list of closures, with authorities directing all schools to remain closed due to heavy rain and inclement weather conditions. Despite the closures, arrangements are in place to ensure the smooth conduct of any ongoing examinations, emphasizing the commitment to academic continuity amidst challenging circumstances.
