Big Relief for students: Schools will remain closed for so many days, see list

School Holiday In November 2023: There is relief news for school students. Schools are going to remain closed for several days in November due to festivals and weekly holidays. This will include many festival holidays including Dhanteras, Roop Chaudas, Diwali and Govardhan Puja.

The list of holidays and the number of days may vary from state to state. Holidays have also been announced due to increasing air pollution in Delhi, UP and voting for assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Know when schools will remain closed in the states

5-Day Holidays Announced by Jammu & Kashmir Govt–  The Government today announced Puja Holidays w.e.f 11-11-2023 to 15-11-2023 for Government Educational institutions and recognized Private School (s) upto Higher Secondary levels (Summer / Winter Zones) of Jammu Division.

“It is hereby ordered that all the Government Educational institutions and recognized Private School (s) upto Higher Secondary levels (Summer / Winter Zones) of Jammu Division shall observe Five (5) days Pooja Holidays w.e.f 11-11-2023 to 15-11-2023” an order issued today stated.

In Delhi: Due to the ever increasing air pollution in the country’s capital Delhi, the Kejriwal government has decided to keep primary schools in Delhi closed till November 10. Under this, schools for grades 6-12 have been given the option to shift to online classes. Apart from this, Sunday 12 November, Diwali, Wednesday 15 November Bhai Dooj, 19 November Chhath Puja, 24 November Guru Teg Bahadur Martyr Day, 27 November Guru Nanak Jayanti have been declared holidays in Delhi.

In Gautam Buddha Nagar of UP, it has also been decided to keep schools closed till 10th November. This order has been issued by the Office of the District Magistrate (Gautam Buddha Nagar). According to the notification, physical classes will remain closed in schools from classes 1 to 9 in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Jewar and Dadri sub-divisions including Noida.

Schools have been given permission to conduct online classes. There will be a Diwali holiday in Uttar Pradesh on 12th November while it will be closed on the occasion of Govardhan Puja on 13th November, Bhai Dooj on 15th November, Chhath Puja on 19th November and Guru on 24th November.

A holiday has been declared in schools on the death anniversary of Tegh Bahadur. Apart from this, schools will remain closed on Guru Nanak Jayanti on 27th November.

Will remain in government and non-government schools of Rajasthan till 19th November. Schools will reopen in the state on November 20. Assembly elections are to be held on 25th November. In such a situation, the schools where polling stations are scheduled will be taken over for the elections 3 days in advance. In such a situation, school will be held for barely 3 days after the mid-term vacation.

In this way, teaching in schools will be affected only for the entire month of November. In December, teaching will take place in schools only for two weeks. After that half yearly examinations will start. Winter vacations will start as soon as the half-yearly examinations are over.

There will be a holiday in Chhattisgarh on Diwali from November 11 to November 16. Due to the assembly election voting in Chhattisgarh, a general holiday has also been declared on November 17. Keeping in mind the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, all schools, colleges, banks and all offices will remain closed on Friday, 17th November. The Home Ministry has declared a public and general holiday on 17th November. There will also be a holiday on the day of Diwali, Bhai Dooj and Govardhan Puja.

In Haryana, there will be holiday on 11th November, second Saturday, 12th November for Diwali/Sunday, Monday on 13th November due to Vishwakarma Day/Goverdhan Puja, Sunday on 19th November, Sunday on 26th November and 27th November due to Guru Nanak Jayanti. In Jharkhand, Diwali on 12th November, Chhath Puja on 20th November, Birsa Munda Jayanti on 15th November and Guru Nanak Jayanti on 27th November have been declared as holidays.
