Lockdown Extended in Baramulla upto 21 July 2020 due to ‘Sharp Rise’ in COVID19 Cases

Baramulla, Jul 19 : Amid a spike in the COVID19 positive cases in the district, authorities have clamped Section 144 complimented with Section 34 of DDMA across this north Kashmir’s frontier district.

A notification in this regard, of which a copy lies with Kashmir Crown, maintains that there has been a sharp rise in the positive cases over past few days and several cases have been reported from the areas outside/buffer zones and in towns also.

All shops/business establishments in the District including main towns of Baramulla, Sopore, Pattan, Kunzer, Tangmarg, Uri, Watergam, Rohama and Dangiwacha shall remain closed, even as there shall be complete restrictions on all types public transport, the notification reads.

All the relevant law enforcement agencies are meanwhile asked “to ensure strict implementation of restrictions.”

The Order shall remain in force till 21-07-2020.(KC)
