The Core Committe of National Child Development Council (NCDC) observed the 75th National Army Day to commemorate the jawans of Indian Army.

On the occasion, the members of the council held a meeting, & paid tribute to the sacrifice of the army personnel, while they conveyed respect to the families of Army jawans.

The members believed that, “Army plays a good role in developing infrastructure in the country, while they stand in the forefront during emergencies.”

The meeting was attended by NCDC Master Trainer, Baba Alexander, Sudha Menon, Muhammed Risvan, Dr Sruthi Ganesh & Bindu Saraswathibhai.

Pertinently, National Army Day is being observed every year to commemorate the occasion when General (later Field Marshal) K M Cariappa took over command of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Roy Bucher, the last British Commander-in-Chief in 1949.
