India Tour Of England: Umran Malik Destorys English Batter’s Middle Stump -Watch Video Here

Umran malik had a fantastic in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, which helped in him earning his maiden call-up for the national side.

Team India prepares for the three-match T20I series against England by taking on Derbyshire in a warm-up practice game.

In this match Jammu and Kashmir’s fastest pacer, Umran Malik shone with the ball today as he went on to scalp two wickets, ended up with figures of 2 for 31 in his four overs.

He also bowled a good last pressure under pressure when Ireland needed 17 runs to win the match by 4 runs for India in the second T20I in Dublin

Umran first dismissed left-handed Leus du Plooy, who tried to play a lap shot but failed to get a connection and had his stumps rattled.

In his second spell, Umran rushed the wicket-keeper batter Brook Guest with his pace and uprooted his middle-stump. Umran was quickly off on a celebratory run as stand-in skipper Dinesh Karthik applauded the delivery from the Jammu and Kashmir pacer.

Apart from Umran Malik, left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh 2 for 29 while Axar Patel, and Venkatesh Iyer returned with a wicket apiece.

Deepak Hooda (56) and Suryakumar Yadav (36*) then great maturity as India chased the target down in just 16.4 overs with seven wickets in hand. Sanju Samson too made a valuable contribution of 38 batting at the top of the order.

Earlier, after host Derby batted first India’s bowlers did a fine job by restricting them to 150 for 8 in 20 overs

India will play another practice match against Nottinghamshire on July 3 before the T20I series against England starting July 7.
