7th pay commission: Bad News For Government Employees On DÁ Arrears: Check Latest Update
7th pay commission: Central government employees who have been eagerly waiting for the 18 months Dearness Allowance (DA) arrear might be hearing a bad news, if media reports are to be believed.
According to media reports, regarding DA arrears, the government has said that at present there is no idea to give this money.
If sources are to be believed, then the arrears from January 2020 to June 2021 will not be paid yet. This statement issued by the government has come as a big blow and bad news to the central employees. However, on Holi, the government can give great news to the employees by increasing the DA.
As per Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had issued a statement a few days ago and informed that due to the spread of the Coronavirus epidemic in the country, dearness allowance of these employees was stopped, due to which the government would help the poor and needy with that money.

Earlier, According to reports that the National Council of JCM’s Shiv Gopal Mishra mentioning that the DA arrear amounts of employees in Level-1 range between Rs 11,880 and Rs 37,554. For Level-13 or Level-14, this amount would range from Rs 1,44,200 to 2,18,200.
Currently, the total Dearness Allowance (DA) is 31%, with the possibility of increasing to 34%. With the government’s 3% increase, the DA will rise to 34%. Employees will be able to receive the allowance for the months of January and February, as well as arrears in their income for the month of March, beginning on January 1, 2022.

While talks have been underway, employees have been adamant on their demands. The issue may soon be brought in front of the Cabinet Secretary for discussion. However around 48 lakh central government employees and 60 lakh pensioners currently, as per the annual report of the Department of Expenditure.
