7th Pay Commission Latest Update: Bumper Hike In Salary of Central Government Employees | Check Calculation Here

According to reports that the employees will now get the arrears at one go –meaning that the amount Rs 2 Lakh could reach for some band of employees. From October 2021 the Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief of Central government employees and pensioners were restored to 31% from 17%. However the arrears have not been deposited as yet.

An increase in 3% DA means that the total DA of Central government employees will be 34%. It means a Central government employee with a basic salary of Rs 18,000 will receive an annual dearness allowance of Rs 73,440. See calculation below:

Calculation on minimum basic salary

Basic salary of employee: Rs 18,000- New DA (34%) Rs 6120/month- DA so far (31%) Rs 5580/month- How much dearness allowance increased 6120- 5580 = Rs 540/month- Increase in annual salary 540X12 = Rs 6,480- Calculation on maximum basic salary

Basic salary of the employee: Rs 56900- New DA (34%) Rs 19346 / month- DA so far (31%) Rs 17639 / month- How much dearness allowance increased 19346-17639 = 1,707 Rs/month- Increase in annual salary 1,707 X12 = Rs 20,484

As per latest media reports, that the meeting on DA arrears could happen this week. As per earlier reports, Cabinet Council is planning a one-time settlement amount towards DA arrears on hold for the past 18 months. This would bring the arrear deposit to up to Rs 2 lakh for some employees as per their band.

According to Zee News Hindi report quoted that National Council of JCM’s Shiv Gopal Mishra mentioning that the DA arrear amounts of employees in Level-1 range between Rs 11,880 and Rs 37,554. For Level-13 or Level-14, this amount would range from Rs 1,44,200 to 2,18,200.
