NEET Counselling 2021: Know Counselling Schedule, NEET OMR Answer Sheet, Fee & How to Register Here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the National Eligibility Entrance Test or NEET 2021 results. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will now conduct NEET 2021 counselling for qualified candidates seeking admission to government medical and dental colleges for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 100% seats in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS and JIPMER.

As per reports, a total of 8,70,074 candidates have cleared the exam and become eligible for admission to undergraduate medical courses. Nearly 16 lakh candidates had appeared for the offline pen, and offline paper exam held on September 12, 2021.

In 2021, NEET-UG Counseling will be conducted for admissions to: 

  • MBBS
  • BDS
  • AYUSH
  • BVSc & AHA, and
  • BSc Nursing.

Registration link for NEET Counseling will be available soon. Those who qualify for the NEET exam and want to participate in the counselling process for admission need to register online on the official website.

Documents Needed For NEET Counselling 2021: 
  • NEET Admit Card

  • NEET Scorecard or Rank Letter

  • Class 10 certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth)

  • Class 12 certificate and mark sheet

  • ID proof (Aadhar/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)

  • Eight passport size photographs

  • Provisional Allotment Letter

  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)

NRI/ OCI candidates appearing for Deemed Universities must submit the following documents

  • Passport copy of sponsored, embassy certificate

  • Sponsorship affidavit (stating that sponsor is ready to bear the expenses for the whole duration of study)

  • Relationship Affidavit (relation of candidate with the sponsorer)

NEET 2021 Counselling Schedule: 

The official short notice on Medical Counselling Committee, MCC website, mcc.nic.in reads, “Online counselling will be available soon”. So, it is expected that details on counselling dates and the registration process will be released by the end of this week.

NEET Counselling 2021 Process: 

NEET counselling process in government colleges is conducted at two levels – 15% AIQ and 85% state quota levels. The AIQ NEET 2021 counselling will be conducted by the MCC on behalf of the DGHS, the state quota counselling will be conducted by the state counselling authorities.

During the counselling registration process, aspirants have to provide their choices of colleges and courses. The seat allotment of NEET 2021 will be done on the basis of choices filled, seats available, NEET rank, reservation criteria and other factors.

NEET Counselling 2021 Fee: 

AIIMS Reservation: 

AIIMS adhere to the reservation policy of the central government and it is applied only on the seats contributed by AIIMS to AIQ:

  • SC- 15 per cent
  • ST- 7.5 per cent
  • OBC- 27 per cent (non-creamy layer)
  • PwD- 5 per cent horizontal reservation
  • EWS- 10 per cent

Students who have qualified NEET UG 2021 will be given admission on the basis of their NEET AIR to MBBS and BDS courses via MCC counselling 2021.

The counselling for the All India Quota seats will be conducted in two rounds. The seats left vacant after the first round will be carried forward to the second round.

However, the seats left vacant after the second round of NEET counselling 2021 will be transferred to the respective state quota. The seats left vacant in the AIQ quota of Deemed Universities/ Central Universities/ ESIC colleges will be filled through a mop-up round of NEET 2021 counselling. The remaining seats (if any) will be filled in the institutional round/stray round of NEET counselling.
