Watch Video: Flipkart Customer Orders iPhone 12 But Receives Soap Bars Inside Box
A Flipkart customer who had ordered an Apple phone during the website’s Big Billion Days was left in shock when he opened the delivered package. The customer ordered an iPhone 12, which was being sold at a huge discount during the sale. Unfortunately, the package he was delivered contained a bar of Nirma soap worth Rs 5, according to reports.
The report by Gizmochina pointed out that a person named Simranpal Singh provided a firsthand account of the shocking case to the tech website.

Singh had purchased the phone for Rs 51,999 by opting for Open Box Delivery. But when he opened the package, he was shocked to discover two soap bars inside. He did not accept the delivery and refused to share the OTP with the delivery partner. Had he shared the One time password, the order would’ve been updated as ‘delivered’.
Instead of getting into an argument with the delivery partner, Singh complained about the order to Flipkart’s customer care. But the confusion didn’t end there as he received a call requesting the OTP. Then after a few more failed attempts, Flipkart finally cancelled the order and refunded Singh’s money. It is reported that the money was credited to his account a few days after the incident.
Singh even made a video recording of the failed order to save as evidence. It has now been widely shared online.

When The New Indian Express contacted Flipkart, the company spokesperson said, “Flipkart observes a zero-tolerance policy on incidents that impact customer trust. When the incident was brought to our attention by the customer at the time of the open box delivery, our Support Team reached out immediately to verify the details and a full refund was initiated. Our team has been in touch with the customer since the incident happened and are currently investigating the matter internally.”
