Covid-19 positive woman infects daughter-in-law by embracing her Deliberately
Hurt over being isolated after testing positive for Covid, an agitated woman forcefully embraced her daughter-in-law in Telangana and infected her with the virus. After the daughter-in-law tested positive for Covid, she was thrown out of the house Somaripeta village. Her sister later took her to her parents’ house in Thimmapur village in Rajanna Sircilla district.
The daughter-in-law in her mid-20s told The Times of India that her mother-in-law was upset that everyone in the family kept a distance from her after she tested positive for Covid. “My mother-in-law hugged me saying that I should also get infected with Covid-19,” the woman told health officials in a video interview, The Times of India reported.
Two revenue officers visited the house of the daughter-in-law and provided her with the medication for COVID treatment. The officials also said that they are ready to take the woman’s complaint. According to one of the officials, the woman would be guided on the steps that she should take if she intends to pursue a case against her mother-in-law.
