In India According to Maulana Khalid Rasheed of Markazi Chand Committee Farangi Mahali, the Shawwal crescent was not seen in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow yesterday i.e. May 12. Therefore, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Friday, May 14.

However, Shawwal moon was sighted in Pakistan yesterday . And Eid ul fitr celebrated on today 13th may in Ruet-e-Hilal committee.

Bangladesh like in india also declared that Eid al Fitr will be celebrated on Friday May 14, 2021.

However Like Pakistan, Kashmir’s Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam also said that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated across Jammu and Kashmir today– Thursday – as witnesses have been on record on sighting of the Shawaal moon. (KN)
