With insurance company AXA, Team Hariyali Kranti planted 9000 trees in Jaunapur’s Delhi
Srinagar, April 01: The team of Hariyali Kranti, working under the leadership of Peepal Baba, Badri Singh is working for the launch of Hariyali Kranti all over the country.
People across the country are getting amazing support in this campaign of Peepal Baba. Corporates are also nowhere behind in this link. In the same sequence, a wonderful effort has been received by the corporate and NGO team in Jaunapur, National Capital Region of Delhi.
People of different ages and professions are participating in it. Those people who could not come to the Corona period, they contact the team to plant trees on their birthdays in their name, the team puts trees in their name and shares the video.
How did it begin
400 saplings were planted under a large plantation program in the last day of Delhi Jaunapur. In which famous environmental worker Peepal Baba along with his team attended the insurance company employees along with them.
It was found that people of AXA group and Give Me Trees Trust do such programs every month. So far, 9000 trees have been planted in the desolate area of Aravalli under the ongoing tree plantation campaign every month, it is worth mentioning that under this campaign, a campaign to plant 120000 trees is going on here.
The story started about a year ago. When the management committee of Baba Neem Karauli Ashram of Jaunpur approached Peepal Baba to bring greenery in the vacant land around the temple and on the last Baisakhi day, with the help of axa AXA group, the plantation work started in the Aravalli mountains. The greenery is back in the ground once again.
What are the challenges
Due to human activities, the trees before the Aravalli hills were finished, the forest landscape restoration program (FLR – Forest Landscape Restoration) was launched to reclaim the tree plants as well as wildlife in this area. Since this land was rocky ground, this is the reason why water cannot stop in these lands.
Break the mountains and go to the roots inside, that’s why people, buds, pudding, etc. were planted here. By the way, now 46 types of native indigenous plants are being installed here, here the luxury kayakers are being replaced by native species. In these lands, the first kayaks were more, they were gradually shifted.
How has work done
Fencing – In order to bring greenery back to the deserted mountain, the work of first breaking the stones was done and then where there was a lack of soil, the soil was put on par. The grass was removed and the water was sprayed, so that the soil formed its own place and went towards the pit.
Labeling – Then the soil is brought down from the height.
Plantation – Then every month started planting trees, slowly people living around every week came to donate labor among the trees.
Nesting – Since the indigenous flora was completely depleted from here, only the villagers were somewhere, so the birds sit on the walls and the remaining trees were made for them, and they were given utensils to give them water and grains. Due to this, birds started coming in a big way, many outdoor vegetation also grew here from their cow dung.
Mulching – Since it was rocky ground, the soil also used to fly very fast from this place. To prevent this, fallen leaves and puwal etc. were planted on the empty ground. Due to this, where soil erosion stopped, the moisture in that area itself increased automatically.
Composting – There is no use of chemical fertilizer only in this area, only organic manure is being used here, for this the cow dung of Gaushala and dung from the surrounding area was purchased
Rain Water Harvesting – Water did not stop at all in this land. That’s why water tankers are called from outside. To overcome this deficiency, 4 small ponds have been built to store rain water, water holes are being made to store water as well as plant bowls are being made. Even after so much arrangement of water, water still does not happen for years because there is no water in the land. Still plants have to call for water tankers from outside to feed them.
In this work being done continuously for 1 year, the most important community remains the Involvement. People from every part of the NCR come on holidays with their parents and contribute to the environment. For which givetrust senior volunteer Vineet Vohra runs every home nursery program to connect people with the environment.
Give people training how nursery is prepared from home grown fruits mango, guava, orange, lemon seeds. Greenery ambassadors are prepared in schools. They visit this site and take care of the plants. Especially people come to the nearby place to plant trees on the birthday.
Where Peepal Baba plants the trees, his volunteers volunteer hands and people from the community adopt the trees and take care of them. Thus, these are helping to increase greenery in this area.
In the Corona period, due to the tree planting program started on the last Baisakhi year in a year, greenery has been captured in 6 acres of land in a year.
