7th Pay Commission: Salary of government employees may increases by Rs 95000: The list of good news doesn’t seem to be ending soon for Central government employees and pensioners. The government is soon going to give the Dearness Allowance for the month of June by adding it to their current regime. If it goes through then the DA will be increased to 31% from 28%.
Though the DA for the month of June 2021 has not been decided yet but based on the AICPI data for January to May 2021, 3% dearness allowance will increase further. Currently, it has not been decided as to when it will be paid but an increase of 3% is sure which will make the DA 31%.

In January 2020, the Dearness Allowance was increased by 4 per cent. Then in June 2020, there was an increase of 3 per cent. Again in January 2021, it took a jump of 4 per cent, In three such jumps, the DA increased by 11 per cent and now it has reached up to 28 per cent.
The ban on a freeze of Dearness Allowance was removed by the Central government for the last 18 months. Central employees and pensioners can get an idea of the salary increase according to their basic pay and grade.
Increase in salary according to the calculation:
According to the 7th Pay Commission matrix, the level-1 salary of central employees ranges between Rs 18,000 to Rs 56,900. Therefore, one needs to calculate the basic salary of Rs 18,000 to see how much increase in the salary of September to the central employee.

Calculation on minimum basic salary- Calculation on 28% Dearness Allowance
CALCULATION:
- If the Basic salary of the employee is Rs 18,000
- New Dearness Allowance (28%) Rs 5040 per month
- Dearness Allowance so far (17%) Rs 3060 per month
- How much dearness allowance increased 5040 – 3060 = Rs 1980 per month
- Increase in annual salary 1980X12 = Rs 23760
The total annual dearness allowance on the basic salary of Rs 18,000 will be Rs 60,480. But the difference of annual increase in salary will be Rs 23,760. (DNAINDIA)
