Big change in salary of government employees from July 1, know all details here
INDIA (KN): As per the Narendra Modi Government’s announcement, center is going to restore DA benefit of central government employees from 1st July 2021. The Ministry of Finance (MoS) Anurag Thakur made an announcement last month in this regard in the Rajya Sabha in a written reply to a question.
As per reports available with Kashmir News, The central government employee’s DA will be increased from 17 percent to 28 percent which includes a 3 percent, 4 percent, and expected 4 percent DA hike due from 1st January 2021.
The employees basic salary will be multiplied by the fitment factor which is 2.57 and that will increase the monthly CTC of government employees except for allowance, according to the 7th pay commission rules.
If this hike in DA happens, it will increase the central government’s salary significantly. There will be changes in DA, House Rent Allowance, medical allowance, Travel Allowance for the central government employees. If the DA hike is implemented from January, there will be arrears for the central government employees. This means the central government employees will get more money.
It should be also noted that the DA hike will also change the monthly PF, Gratuity contribution of the central government employees.(KN)
